Van drivers are the backbone of thousands of UK businesses and many run to time sensitive deadlines. Travelling 50 miles at 60mph instead of 70mph on a dual A road adds just over 7 minutes to your journey. Over an eight hour day this can amount to almost an hour.

Many dual A roads can be the same as dual motorway roads. In my experience, speed restrictions to vans can be a make or break if times are not met. I understand that safety is paramount but at what cost to the economy and people’s livelihood.
