Despite its prevalence, endometriosis remains significantly under-researched and poorly understood. On average, it takes around 7–10 years to receive a diagnosis in the UK. During this time, many individuals experience severe pain, fatigue, infertility, and a reduced quality of life, often impacting education, employment, and mental health. Current treatment options are limited and there is no known cure. Many patients undergo repeated surgeries or rely on hormonal treatments which do not work.
