I want the Government to reform statutory annual leave so that all workers: Receive roughly the same number of paid holidays as school children (~13 weeks per year). Have flexible leave options for personal projects, mental health, and family commitments.

Workers currently are entitled to only 5.6 weeks paid leave including bank holidays, while school children have around 13 weeks off each year. We feel this imbalance reduces life satisfaction, limits time for family, hobbies, and personal growth. Life is for living, not just working. Paid leave laws should reflect that reality. Flexible leave for wellbeing could allow people to recharge, care for family, and pursue meaningful life experiences, creating happier, healthier and productive communities.
