Require phase out of remaining state-funded selective grammar schools. Reallocate funding to SEND support. Require local authorities to redirect resources from selective testing (11 plus) toward an inclusive, mainstream-first education system.
Require local authorities to abolish the 11 plus & integrate funding into mainstream education support, specifically the Government’s goal of providing core support for SEND within mainstream settings, ensuring more children can access multi-disciplinary services without needing lengthy statutory assessments. The government funding that we think is wasted on the 11 plus system can be used for other parts of the education system.
