Statutory guidance for secondary schools on mental health should be expanded to include more specific content about men. This should include the importance of men opening up and breaking traditional stereotypes that young men are being forced into by presences online.
I’ve seen the impact first hand that people not opening up can have and the effect it can have on so many communities. So many times in school have I seen men’s mental health month get completely bypassed and unnoticed and how it would give young men a boost to feel seen and heard causing a positive impact on society.
