Dyslexia affects many people yet NHS assessments are unavailable. This leaves access limited to those who can pay or navigate complex systems. The government must ensure free, early assessments for all to support education, wellbeing, and equal opportunity.
Many people with dyslexia go undiagnosed or receive a late diagnosis often due to cost and limited access, leading to avoidable struggles in education, work, and daily life. Early identification is vital for understanding needs and accessing support. We are concerned that without NHS provision, inequality persists. Government action is needed to ensure fair, timely access to assessments for all, regardless of financial circumstances.
