Increase the 45 pence per mile allowance for the fuel and wear and tear of our own cars when we are using them to travel between individuals as out job, this amount has not increased for years.
Community support staff travel miles each day to provide care for vulnerable people in their own homes, this service is essential to thousands of individuals who need support in their day to day lives. We are given 45 pence per mile allowance for the fuel and wear and tear of our own cars which we use every day for work. This is no where near enough when at present we are having to pay nearly £2 per litre for diesel.
