Student paramedics work really hard within the ambulance service and they don’t get the recognition that they should. They don’t get paid for their placement hours, although they are also experiencing a cost of living crisis with inflation.
Many students have to travel to their placement and have to fund their own education. We think paying student paramedics for placement hours would give them more recognition and support for their hard work.
