Fund affordable unilateral bras on the NHS. While some retailers offer post surgery bras designed to hold prostheses, bras for women with a single mastectomy who choose to remain flat on one side are much harder to find and often cost more.
For many of us, this is a valid, personal choice, yet access remains limited. We want the government’s help because we believe this is a structural access and fairness issue, not just a personal shopping problem. Post mastectomy needs are part of healthcare. Clothing that supports comfort, mobility, and wellbeing after surgery directly affects quality of life. Dignity, recovery, and equal access after cancer treatment should not depend on private retail choices or personal finances.
