Government to provide financial assistance for court-ordered drug and alcohol testing in family court cases by: * Introduce means-tested financial assistance for testing * Cap the maximum cost of tests

The Government should ensure low-income parents are not excluded from child contact due to inability to pay for tests. We believe this issue affects many families, and in our view no parent should lose contact with their child because they cannot afford the paying for court-ordered alcohol and drug testing as part of the court process.
