We believe that with negative intent, AI can help fuel racial discrimination and hate within the politics of our country and strips away critical debate and thinking especially in social media, and online safety is then harmed.

We call for further restrictions on the use of AI, or a temporary ban of social media for those who use AI to discriminate, are possible solutions that could be considered by people with the expertise. There should not be hateful AI generated songs or hateful images that spread the idea that one race is superior to the other, especially in the comment sections of a social media app for many vulnerable young children to see.
