Milestones

We call on the Government to fund a clear NHS clinical pathway for PCS that bridges the gap between Gynaecology and Interventional Radiology. Funding should also support mandated training for healthcare staff, improved testing and timely referrals to meet the 18-week treatment standard.

It is reported that PCS affects around 1.5 million women in the UK, causing chronic pelvic pain, yet it can fall through the cracks between medical specialities. We believe many patients face years of medical gaslighting and misdiagnosis. We demand: • Integrated MDT pathways between Gynaecology and Interventional Radiology. • Mandated training for GPs and Gynaecologists to recognise Pelvic Venous Disorders. • Standardised access to Transvaginal Duplex Ultrasound. • Dedicated funding to end the "postcode lottery" for treatment.
