Publish clear data on how faith security funding is allocated and ensure all communities can access it fairly. We think this should be done alongside improving transparency, outreach, and support so underrepresented groups, including Hindu community, can apply and receive appropriate protection.

Recent announcements show £73.4m funding, with £40m and £28.4m allocated to specific groups, while others share £5m. Greater transparency is needed to ensure all communities feel equally supported, protected, and fairly treated.

Government response

Funding for protective security schemes for faith communities is allocated based on risk, supported by police data, threat assessments, and wider security advice. Allocations are kept under review.
