We urge the UK Government to cease all trade with the State of Israel concerning the Occupied Palestinian Territories (oPt) and ban UK businesses from trading with Israel in this regard. We believe Palestinian-led businesses in the oPt should have direct UK trade without Israeli involvement.

We believe the UK is under a legal obligation not to recognise, aid, or assist in the maintenance of Israel’s unlawful presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including all illegal settlements (see ICJ Advisory Opinion July 2024, paras 274-279 and UNGA res 77126 and 32/161). We believe that UK trade with Israel is currently in breach of international law. According to UN General Assembly Resolution 2625 of 1970, the UK has a duty to promote the self-determination of the Palestinian people, and we believe the UK Government must amend its policies and practices to fulfil this duty.
