Milestones

Legislate to specifically prohibit the punitive siting of national infrastructure, such as detention centres, based on the voting records of constituencies. Ensure all infrastructure placement is determined by logistical suitability and administrative necessity, rather than political retaliation.

We believe policy proposals to prioritise high-impact facilities in areas that vote for specific parties constitute intimidation. Using infrastructure to punish communities for exercising their democratic rights violates the principle of neutrality in governance and threatens the integrity of our elections.
