We call on the Government to provide funding to conduct more research for possible treatments of TMAU, and to fund initiatives raising awareness of the condition and of the detrimental effects it can have on those diagnosed. We believe it often isn't recognised as a disability when it should.

This has affected my confidence and my life, and I believe there needs to be more awareness and action. We call on the Government to recognise when it is a disability, and consider how employers can support us, including by offering remote jobs. The mental and physical effects of this disease can be devastating. I am aware of people who say they haven’t been outside for years because of the abuse and some who have who have gone home crying because of the way they have been treated.
