Milestones

We want the Government to grant an additional allowance for individuals who care for more than one person and to raise the £204 earnings limit to allow for more carers to get the help they need. You can still care 35 hours a week and work part time, yet doing so puts many people over the threshold.

We believe it is unfair that an individual cannot get a job due to caring for multiple family members yet can only claim benefits for one of them. You can still work long hours and then care for someone consistently as soon as you are home which is mentally and physically draining but the system then says you don’t qualify if you earn too much!
