Remove requirement for people diagnosed with epilepsy to be seizure and medications for seizures free for 10 years to hold a licence for group 2 drivers (HGV & PSV). We believe that the individual case should be assessed to see by their medical teams to hold such a licence.
In my view the road traffic act of 1988 is out of date, unfair and unjustified. We want the Government to question why other medical conditions for example those who have had heart attacks and strokes are considered as having high risk conditions which are also medicated, but they are still allowed to drive group 2 vehicles.
