I think alcohol should be treated in the same way cigarettes are and be kept in an area of all shops that can be covered up with shutters. Alcohol is one of Britain's biggest killers and can cost the NHS millions. I believe alcoholics struggle to stay sober as it is in their face wherever they go.
Many experience addiction and the struggles to get clean can be phenomenal. For example, whilst it is illegal to purchase drugs, you can buy cigarettes and alcohol over the counter. I believe alcohol is one of the most dangerous substances and should be a class A drug. We can access this in shops, but it’s highly addictive and people that are in recovery suffer from it being so public, which can make relapse more common.
