Milestones

Require all diversity training programmes in employment settings to include ADHD alongside Autism. We believe this disorder is widely misunderstood by employers, causing employees to face prejudice and avoidable consequences. Education of ADHD traits (time blindness, overstimulation).

Many diversity training programmes in employment typically now include the awareness of typical traits seen in autistic individuals, and common ways to support their specific needs. As ADHD is a neurodiverse disorder alongside Autism, it can cause those suffering from it equal distress in the workplace when support requests are ignored. As many individuals do not look beyond the word of the ‘H’ for ‘Hyperactivity’, those diagnosed are commonly misunderstood.
