The government should ban animal testing, and require and invest more in the use of cruelty-free alternatives like AI and human cell research. We believe we need stronger laws to protect animals from painful experiments, forcing companies to use safer, modern scientific methods and not harm animals.

We believe animal experimentation should be banned in the UK because it causes unnecessary suffering to animals that cannot defend themselves. Millions of animals are used in painful tests every year despite modern alternatives such as computer models, AI, and human cell research being available. These methods can often be more accurate and humane. The government should invest more in cruelty-free science and create stronger laws to ban animals being harmed for testing and experiments.
