Reduce delays in Further Leave to Remain (Family and Private life) applications for parents of British children and partners. Some families have waited over 12 months despite paying £5,000+ including for the Immigration Health Surcharge and usually having no access to public funds.
Delays can harm jobs, businesses, mental health and children’s welfare. We want the Government to set an 8-week maximum decision time with automatic priority processing for family cases. With no access to public funds, delays can affect work, businesses, housing, mental health and children’s wellbeing. We believe British children should not suffer because a parent’s application is delayed.
