We want the Government to end what we feel is a postcode lottery for NHS coeliac disease food support. Ensure the introduction of a standardised national policy for gluten free staple foods, so people with this autoimmune disease can access medically necessary food support wherever they live.
People with coeliac disease need a strict lifelong gluten free diet as their only treatment. NHS support for gluten free staple foods now varies widely across England, with many areas reducing or removing help entirely. This petition calls for a fair national policy so patients can access essential gluten free foods wherever they live.
