Milestones

We call on the Government to mandate a statutory "neuro-competence" standard for workplace managers in businesses with 50+ staff. This must include undergoing complete accredited training to safely manage diverse cognitive, processing, and communication needs and differences.

Untrained management can cause severe occupational stress, burnout and unnecessary unemployment. We call on the government to direct the HSE to integrate "neuro-competence" into its standards. This must verify a manager's practical capability to proactively prevent psychological injury by: 1) eliminating volatile, unpredictable scheduling changes; 2) utilising structured, documented communication formats; and 3) identifying and mitigating localised sources of sensory overload and task fragmentation.
