We want the Government to prohibit retailers from displaying drug paraphernalia, including bongs, drug pipes, and similar items, in street-facing shop windows and other publicly visible displays.
We believe the public display of drug paraphernalia normalises drug use and exposes children and young people to products associated with illegal drugs. While some of these items may be legal to sell, we think they should not be openly advertised or promoted in public-facing displays. We believe restricting their display would help create a healthier public environment while still allowing retailers to sell legal products within their premises, subject to existing laws.
