Ringfence NHS funding and review clinical training for all women’s health conditions. This should comprehensively cover severe menstrual health, pregnancy, menopause, and all chronic pain, fatigue, or autoimmune ailments that disproportionately affect women.
Historically, many have used the male body as the medical default. It is reported that women are more likely to die in car crashes as most dummies used in crash tests are male. Research shows that women are nearly twice as likely to experience adverse side effects from prescription drugs due to male-dominated clinical trials. Furthermore, around only 2.4% of research funding goes to gynaecological health. We ask for equity for our families, sisters and daughters.
