Milestones

We want the Government to allow migrants and dependents who are close to qualifying for Indefinite Leave to Remain to be able to apply for shorter visa extensions and receive a refund of Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) payments that is proportionate to their time left before receiving ILR.

Many people must pay for more years of IHS even when they may only need a short period before becoming eligible for settlement, which can create an unnecessary financial burden on individuals and families. We believe it’s not fair and there is no explanation about it.
