Make Changing Places standard facilities mandatory in public buildings so no child has to be changed on toilet floors or excluded from everyday life.
Older disabled children are often still being changed on toilet floors, in car boots or kept at home because most public buildings don’t provide adequate facilities. We feel this is discrimination and it can often isolate families. We believe Changing Places standard rooms are essential for dignity, hygiene and inclusion: every child deserves equal access to public life without shame, barriers or being treated as an afterthought.
