If information comes to light indicating that a candidate/elected official may hold views that could harm people with protected characteristics, as defined by the Equality Act, an independent adjudicator should be empowered to investigate & if appropriate, remove them from the ballot paper or office

Our system needs to be updated in line with the evolution of our nation into a free and fair society. Equal rights are now at the core of our national identity, and our public officials must lead the way. In the modern age it has become problematic on occasions when information has come to light which reveals that due to prejudicial views, a candidate may be unsuited to a role which requires them to represent everyone with fairness and respect. Our system must protect our communities
