Milestones

We call on the UK Government to work with international partners to strengthen protection for refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in Libya and to seek to ensure humanitarian organisations have safe and sustained access to provide assistance.

There are reports from the UN and humanitarian organisations alleging serious human rights abuses against refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in Libya. We are also concerned that humanitarian organisations may face growing restrictions, limiting access to safety and assistance for vulnerable people. The UK should support international efforts to improve protection, humanitarian access, and safe pathways for those at risk.
