Publish a timetable and approval pathway for supervised self-driving systems in GB.

The Government has published plans for self-driving vehicle pilots and is implementing the Automated Vehicles Act 2024. However, there remains uncertainty around the assessment and approval of supervised self-driving systems that require an attentive human driver. We believe the Government should publish a clear timetable, safety requirements and approval pathway for these systems so that manufacturers, consumers and road users understand how they will be evaluated for use on roads in Great Britain.
