We want the Government to ensure that all teaching staff and children are allowed to book off a maximum of 5 school days within a calendar year. These days can but do not have to be consecutive days.
We believe the teaching profession must become more flexible. Important life events (weddings, funerals, hen dos, stag dos, your child’s play etc.) don’t just happen within school holidays. No job should make you miss out on your own life. Additionally, we feel that it is unfair that teachers are punished by their own profession by having to pay triple for holidays - likewise, parents having to pay premium prices to try to give their child an amazing life experience within school holidays.
