home based sole traders are not corporations, we need to stop penalising small volume businesses, are stunting their growth.
Home-based sole traders operating from residential addresses already contribute to household waste collections. We believe applying commercial trade waste requirements to people running small businesses from home is disproportionate and unworkable. A home baker fulfilling two orders a year faces the same legal waste obligations as a commercial restaurant yet generates a fraction of the waste. This creates an unfair financial burden that could push compliant micro-businesses to either operate illegally/close
