Milestones

Senedd Cymru, or the Welsh Parliament, currently has fewer powers than the Scottish Parliament. I believe that the Welsh Government should have the same powers as the Scottish Government, creating true parity, and that Wales should have its own judicial region.

In October 2019, the Commission on Justice in Wales published its review of the justice system in Wales and concluded that “the people of Wales are being let down by the justice system in its current state”. I believe devolving justice to Wales would allow the people of Wales to be properly served.
