I would like the Government to invest in research into the causes of Fibromyalgia, and fund better training for all health professionals who may encounter sufferers and a better care pathway that is more effective and accessible to Fibromyalgia patients.
Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain condition that has no cure. It is treated with medication that we feel is not effective long term as the cause is not clearly understood. For this reason, we believe care and the treatment of Fibromyalgia patients needs improvement. We feel better research, education and treatment is needed to improve the quality of life of those living with this condition. We therefore call for the Government to provide funding on research and education of Fibromyalgia.
