Allow sponsored workers whose employer’s sponsor licence is revoked to remain for six months, enabling them to find a new sponsor, switch visa routes, or make arrangements to leave, particularly where they have complied with immigration rules and contributed to UK society.
We call on the Government to grant a six-month grace period to workers affected by sponsor licence revocation. Many have complied with immigration rules, paid taxes, contributed to the economy, bought homes and built families in the UK without accessing public funds. A six-month period would allow them to find a new sponsor, switch visa routes or make arrangements, reflecting the UK’s values of fairness, compassion and responsibility.
