We want the Government to create a specific criminal offence for repeated non-consensual photography and filming in gyms and leisure facilities, giving police clear powers to investigate and prosecute those who repeatedly target individuals without their consent.
There is current no law that specifically addresses repeated photography or filming of people in gyms and leisure facilities without their consent. This behaviour can cause distress, humiliation and fear, especially when someone is targeted over a long period. We want the Government to create a specific criminal offence for repeated non-consensual recording in these settings and give police clear powers to investigate and take action.
