Allow all registered CICs and Not for Profits to claim gift aid from donors and the added benefits to corporate donations for tax purposes. We think this could help fund more vital services and encourage businesses to engage with the rapidly growing number of alternative not for profit structures.

We think this change could help create equality across all organisations supporting others by allowing the same incentives for al, and that it would demonstrate the support the government has for all not for profits who save the tax payer money in delivering critical services. In our view it appears at odds with the governments intention when they introduced CICs to encourage more charitable activity to simply curtail the support available to them, knowing the social return on investment and savings these CICs create.
