Make first aid training mandatory in UK schools as part of the curriculum. We believe this will ensure a higher chance of survival for victims of attacks, medical emergencies & mental health crises. Not all students receive this now, and we feel the reward will be countless saved lives.
Currently, the UK sees a high number of sharp implement attacks, terror attacks and mental health crises. These, alongside regular medical emergencies claim many lives every year unexpectedly, many of which we believe could be prevented by comprehensive training in schools and colleges, which would not only teach the skills required, but develop the confidence to apply them. People don't rise to emergency situations, they fall back on their training.
