Milestones

Require all existing roads to be repaired before new projects, create one national road fund, ensure potholes caused by poor reinstatement after digging up the road are fixed by those responsible, and introduce public reporting and repair‑tracking so all repairs meet the required five‑year lifespan.

Many potholes form because road surfaces are not properly reinstated after being dug up for utility or repair works. We want those responsible for the reinstatement to fix any resulting potholes to the required five‑year standard. Creating one national road fund would prioritise repairs before new projects. A public, outsourced and self‑funding reporting and tracking system would let people report issues, follow progress, and ensure repairs are completed properly with clear accountability.
