We call on the UK Government to amend the Sentencing Act so that all individuals convicted of any sexual or violent offence are ineligible for any form of early automatic release scheme or brought-forward release dates.

Releasing convicted sexual offenders can cause severe trauma and psychological harm to victims. Many victims spend years in therapy preparing for a specific release date, only for sudden policy changes to destroy their mental health and sense of safety. We believe public safety and victim welfare must be prioritised over prison capacity, and offenders must serve their full, court-mandated sentences. We call on the government to protect the public by removing all violent and sexual offenders from early release entirely.
