Milestones

We want the Government to set new statutory minimum standards for staff and fees in the care industry to ensure a safer industry for clients.

There needs to be a law regarding care & nursing homes to ensure the safety of residents to: - have a minimum staff to resident ratio - mandate transparency & full breakdown of care fee calculation to be provided when required - ensure care fees should be the same regardless of who pays the fees. Those self-funding currently pay more than council funded residents to balance the books. - require a good command of the English language to ensure better communication with people being supported
