I ask the government to mandate that all employers have adequate cooling devices in place i.e. fans or aircon. Consider the health implications especially the health and safety of workers in work environments without such measures.
While we lack a maximum working temperature, extreme heat is a serious health and safety risk. The government must mandate cooling measures, explicitly requiring businesses with built-in air conditioning to turn it on or bringing in portable fans. As temperatures inevitably rise, employee protection is vital; businesses cutting costs over worker safety cannot continue.
