We call on the Government to introduce a national Bereaved Parent Support Framework, including improved transitional financial support and proactive bereavement care in the form of GP contact within 14 days of a child's death and dedicated bereavement support for surviving siblings.

When a child dies, parents are often left without structured support at the most devastating time of their lives. Financial support can end after a few weeks, mental health support is rarely offered proactively, and surviving siblings often receive little help. We call on the Government to introduce a Bereaved Parent Support Framework, including improved transitional financial support, and proactive bereavement care in the form of GP contact within 14 days and dedicated bereavement support for siblings.
