We believe piercing guns are incredibly dangerous and should be prohibited to prevent the ongoing danger to the public. We believe piercing guns are a severe infection hazard as they can’t be fully sterilised, increasing the risk of cross contamination and the spread of life-threatening diseases.

Piercing guns are often just ‘cleaned’ with alcohol wipes which cannot kill all pathogens. Piercing guns can cause blunt force trauma and cartilage shattering. The jewellery used in piercing guns is often low quality metal, and either has an arrow head or butterfly back, which we think is hazardous for multiple reasons and not suitable for fresh piercings. People are piercing babies with guns…enough is enough! In our view, any reputable, safe piercer would perform piercings with single use, sterile, disposable needles.
