Game developers when releasing a new game must provide a physical copy either disc or USB key. This media must be transferable and saleable.

A physical copy of a game allows you to have ownership of the game. It allows you to share the game with friends and family. Having a physical game allows you to sell it and supports business that sell 2nd hand games. 2nd hand games can help those on low incomes to purchase games.
