Create legislation to ensure future delivery vehicles are created with a maximum working temperature in mind, and cooling to achieve that goal.
Since the pandemic, delivery vehicles & workers have become more common, however there is still no legal requirement for air conditioning despite the increased frequency of heatwaves. Temperatures can easily reach over 38°C in these vehicles, presenting health dangers. This could risk the ability for companies to attract more workers in the transport sector. We believe adjustments for future vehicles to include climate control should be made standard to ensure the safety of vital workers.
