Amend Section 76 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 and grant homeowners have absolute immunity from prosecution when defending their home from intruders.

We feel current laws allow criminals to exploit loopholes by claiming a homeowner used disproportionate force, which may result in homeowners facing arrest. We feel a home is a sanctuary, and that masked, armed robbers who force entry to steal should accept the absolute risk of severe injury or death because of their crimes. Homeowners should not be framed as premeditated criminals for protecting their family. We believe the system should stand unconditionally with homeowners, not intruders.
