We believe Cafcass is failing children and families across England. Some reviews and public reports show safeguarding concerns, delays, and inaccurate assessments. We ask the Government to review Cafcass and replace it with a more transparent, accountable child welfare service.
Some public reviews and professional feedback show repeated concerns about Cafcass practice, including safeguarding issues, delays, and inaccurate assessments. These problems appear across England, which we believe indicates systemic failings, not isolated cases. There are families and professionals that report that Cafcass is no longer meeting its duty to protect children or support the family courts. An independent review and replacement service are needed.
