Introduce a new specific criminal trespass law which makes it an offence to be on any private property without consent of their representative. The intent of the law would be to fill what we see as a gap in legislation which allows urban explorers, base jumpers & prospective thieves to walk free.
Current civil trespass laws mean that when people are found committing trespass they cannot always be dealt with by the police. I have personally witnessed urban explorers, base jumpers, and perspective thieves who have simply denied their intent to commit theft walk away with no further action being taken. A specific vehicular paragraph in the law should also give police powers to remove temporary encampments and vehicle meets.
